April 1, 1996:Ryne Sandberg's first game back after his retirement. He went 0 for 3 in a 5 to 4 victory over Padres at Wrigley Field.

April 5, 1982:Sandberg's debut with the Cubs. Cubs defeat the Cincinnatti Reds 3-2.

May 18, 1990: Ryane Sandberg's ML record errorless streak ends at 123 games with an error in a 7-0 win in Houston over Astros.

January 27, 1982:Ryne Sandberg trade. The Cubs have finally done the deal to make them forget about how bad it is was trading Lou Brock to the Cardinals!! Sandberg was essentially a throw in player in a swap of Cubs and Phillies shortstops Ivan Dejesus (going to the Phillies) and Larry Bowa (coming to the Cubs). Dejesus later made it back to the Cubs as a coach and Bowa also helped the Cubs get to the 1984 playoffs.

May 18, 1990:Ryne Sandberg's ML record errorless streak ends at 123 games with an error in a 7-0 win in Houston over Astros.

June 23, 1984:Ryne Sandberg game on national television that sort of was his coming out party as a superstar in the major league baseball. Sandberg hits a game tying home run off one of, if not the best, closer in baseball, Bruce Sutter of the St Louis Cardinals. Sandberg follows this up with another game tying home run in the tenth before Dave Owen's game-winning single in the 11th inning. the Cubs go one to the playoffs in 84 and Sandberg wins MVP honors.

July 3, 1993:Ryne Sandberg gets the 2000 hit of career during a 5-4 loss to Rockies in Denver.

August 11, 1989Ryne Sandberg ties a Cubs record held by Stan Hack hitting a HR in his 5 th consecuitive game, 9-2 win over Philies in Wrigley.

September 3, 1982:Ryne Sandberg plays his first game with the Cubs at 2B. Sandberg played 3B early in his career with the Cubs.

September 21, 1997:Ryne Sandberg plays his final game at Wrigley Field He went 2 for 3 in an 11-3 victory over the Phillies.
