Kerry Wood makes his postseason debut at Wrigley Field against the Atlanta Braves in game 3 of the NLDS. The cubs trailed the series 2 games to 0 and were facing elimination from the playoffs. Wood pitches well giving up just one run in 5 innings pitched, but facing ex-Cub, Greg Maddux, this wasn't enough as he left the game trailing 1-0 and the Cubs eventually lose the game 6-2 as the Braves advance in the playoffs.
