I'd say a big day in Cubs history.  Ernie Banks & Billy Williams help the NL
defeat the AL in All-Star games (1959, 1965).  A doubleheader sweep with 2
walk-offs including a walk-off grand slam by Ron Santo in 1968.  Scot Thompson goes 5 for 5 in 1979.  Reds pitcher, Tom Browning goes up and joins Cubs fans on the rooftops and a very memorable fight in Cubs history when Eric Show hits Andre Dawson in the head with a pitch.

The Cubs, Wilbur Cooper earns the win pitching 7 innings and hits
a 3-run home run as the Cubs defeat the Brooklyn Robins 10-5 at Ebbetts

July 7, 1933
Cubs come from behind to tie the New York Giants in the 8th inning on
Mark Koenig's 3-run home run.  Cubs get a walk-off victory in 10 innings
when the winning run scores on an error by Travis Jackson. 

July 7, 1945
At Shibe Park, the Cubs defeat the Phillies 3-0 as Claude Passeau pitches a 6-hit complete game shutout.

July 7, 1959
Ernie Banks goes 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a runs scored to help the National League win the All-Star game 5-4.  The game was played at Forbes Field. 

July 7, 1965
Billy Williams homers for the National League in the All-Star game.  NL
defeats the AL 7-4 at Shae Stadium on a 3-run walk-off home run by
Johnny Callison.

In game 1 of a DH, Cubs blow a 4-2 lead when Pirates score 2 in 9th, but win it in bottom of ninth on Jose Arcia's walk-off home run.

After Jose Arcia hits a walk-off home run in the first game of a doubleheader, Ron Santo turns a 1-0 Dodgers lead into a 4-1 Cubs victory with a walk-off grand slam.  Dodgers pitcher, Bill Singer is the tough luck loser after pitching 8 scoreless innings

July 7, 1976
Cubs defeat the Padres 10-0 at Wrigley Field.  Rick Reuschel pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout.  It is the Cubs 3rd consecutive shutout against the Padres. 

July 7, 1977
One year after he shuts out the Padres on 4 hits at Wrigley,   Rick Reuschel shuts out the Cardinals, scattering 9 hits in a 2-0 Cubs win.  Larry Biittner homers.

July 7, 1979
Cubs get 15 hits and defeat the Astros 6-0.  Scot Thompson goes 5 for 5 with 5 singles.  Ken Holtzman pitches a 3-hit complete game shutout and his double is the only extra base hit for the Cubs.  Mike Vail drives in 4 runs in the 2nd game to complete a Cubs sweep with an 8-3 victory.

At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeated the Giants 6-5.  Leon Durham homers twice.

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a teammate begin a baseball fight when another player was hurt except for this day when Rick Sutcliffe charged Eric Show on the mound after he hit Andre Dawson in the head with a pitch.

Nationals lead the Cubs 8-0 in Washington, but Cubs come back to defeat the Nats 10-9. Darwin Barney's 9th inning double scores Tony Campana for the winning run.

Cubs get an 11th inning walk-off victory on Dioneer Navaro's sacrifice fly. Cubs defeat the Pirates 4-3 at Wrigley Field.
