1963.  George Altman a walk-off home run in 1961.  Shutouts by Johnny
Schmitz (1946), Russ Meyer (1948), Ellsworth (1963), Bill Hands (1968),
Milt Pappas (1971), Steve Trout (1987) & Jaime Navarro (1996).  Billy Williams goes 8 for 8 in a doubleheader.

Cubs defeat Dodgers 1-0.  Marv Rickert gets the walk-off RBI single in the 9th inning. 

Johnny Schmitz pitches a 3-hit shutout.  Joe Hatten of the Dodgers is the tough luck loser in this game.

July 11, 1948
Russ Meyer pitches a 2-hit complete game shutout as Cubs defeat Pirates 1-0 at Wrigley Field.   Andy Pafko drives in the only run with a home run.  Meyer's 2-hitter follows Jimmy Schmitz's 2-hitter the day before.

Ernie Banks helps the NL defeat the AL in the All-Star game with a home run and a double in a 5-3 NL victory.

George Altman helps the NL defeat the AL 5-4 in 10 innings with a home run.

In the 1st game of a doubleheader at Crosley Field, a great pitcher's duel
between the Reds, Joe Nuxhall and the Cubs, Dick Ellsworth.  The game goes
to 10 innings with no score when the Cubs explode for 7 runs.  Ellsworth
pitches all 11 innings to earn the win

July 11, 1965
The Cubs pitching shuts out the Cardinals at Wrigley Field in both games of the doubleheader. Cubs win both games 6-0 as Larry Jackson throws an 8-hit shutout & Cal Koonce gives up just 6 this to the Cards in his shutout. Both pitchers complete all nine innings.

July 11, 1968
Dick Selma and Cal Koonce complete a 6-hit complete game shutout against
the Cubs in a 1-0 Mets victory over the Cubs in the 1st game of a doubleheader.  Both Koonce and Selma once pitched for the Cubs.

Cubs don't score for the first 17 innings in a doubleheader at Shae Stadium until the 9th inning of game 2 when Ernie Bank's 2-run double helps Cubs split the DH with a 2-0 victory.  Bill Hands pitches a 5-hit complete game shutout.  Don Cardwell is the tough luck loser for the Mets.

In the 1st game of a doubleheader, Milt Pappas pitches a 4-hit complete
game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Padres 2-0. Johnny Callison drives in
both Cubs runs.

In the 2nd game of a doubleheader at Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Astros 9-5.  Joe Pepitone drives in 4 runs and Rick Monday hits 2 home runs.

In a doubleheader split versus Astros at Wrigley Field, Billy Williams shows why he's one of the greatest hitters in Cubs history as he goes 8 for 8 in the 2 games.

Jody Davis homers, Mel Hall homers twice, but Cubs can't overcome a 6-run Padres first inning led by Tim Flannery's grand slam off Fergie Jenkins as they lose 6-5 at Jack Murphy Stadium.

At Dodger Stadium, Cubs defeat the Dodgers 6-3.  Gary Matthews homers
twice and drives in 4 runs.

At Wrigley Field, Ryne Sandberg, Rafael Palmeiro & Jody Davis homer and Steve Trout pitches a 6-hit complete game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 7-0. 

July 11, 1996
Ryne Sandberg hits a 3-run home run in the 1st inning and Jaime Navarro pitches a 5-hit complete game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Cardinals 6-0 at Wrigley Field.

Cubs hit 4 home runs, 2 by Henry Rodriguez, 1 by Mark Grace & Jose Hernandez as the Cubs defeat the Brewers 11-8 at County Stadium.

At Wrigley Field, the Cubs lose to the Braves 9-5.  Sammy Sosa goes 4 for 4 with 2 solo home runs.

At Wrigley Field, Matt Cain & Jason Marquis (Cubs) both pitch 7
score-lesss innings until Aramis Ramirez 8th inning, 3-run home run helps the Cubs defeat the Giants 3-1.

At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Marlins 3-0.  Anthony Rizzo drives
in all 3 Cubs runs, Starlin Castro scores 2 of the 3 runs and Edwin Jackson
and 4 Cubs relief pitchers combine on a 4-hit shutout.
