A great Cubs trade.  Cubs send Bob Buhl & Larry Jackson to Phillies for
Fergie Jenkins, Adolpho Phillips & John Hernstein. 

July 17, 1966
In 2nd game of a doubleheader, the Cubs defeat Cardinals 7-2 as Billy Williams hits for the cycle with a single, double, triple, home run, 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. Ken Holtzman gets the victory and Fergie Jenkins pithces a perfect 2 innings in relief to earn the save.  

August 2, 1966
Cubs 6 Braves 5, 12 innings. 
Bob Hendley & Fergie Jenkins combine to pitch 7 scoreless relief innings to help Cubs come back to defeat Braves 6-5 in 12 innings on Bobbie Brown's walk-off RBI single.

Cubs defeat the Reds 4-1 at Wrigley Field. It's the Cubs 6th straight victory and the team has now won 17 of 19 games to take over 1st place in the NL.  Fergie Jenkins pitches a complete game 3-hitter and drives in a run with a double and triple in the game.

August 31, 1967
Cubs defeat the Mets 2-1 in 11 innings as Al Spangler drives in Fergie
Jenkins (pinch running for Ernie Banks) with a walk-off RBI single
at Wrigley Field.

Fergie Jenkins wins 20th victory of season as Cubs defeat Reds 4-1.

The Cubs sweep a doubleheader from the Montreal Expos in Jerry Parc.  In game one,   Fergie Jenkins gets the win for his 20th victory of the season and Billy Williams hits his 40th home run of the season.

In a battle between future Hall of Famer's, Fergie Jenkins outduels Bob Gibson as the Cubs defeat the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field 2-1 in ten innings. Another future Hall of Famer, Billy Williams wins it for Cubs with a walk-off home run. 

May 10, 1971

Cubs first game at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia.  Fergie Jenkins strikes out 12 and gets the win, 4-0 against his former team.

September 1, 1971
Fergie Jenkins and the Cubs defeat Montreal 5-2 at Wrigley Field.  Jenkins defeats the Expos with both his pitching arm and his bat as he hits 2 home runs and drives in 3 runs.

Fergie Jenkins breaks Charlie Root's Cubs team strikeout record.

Fergie Jenkins gets his 20th win in a 3-2 Cubs win over Astros at Wrigley Field

A walk off walk as the Cubs defeat the Montreal Expos 3-2 at Wrigley Field. Mike Marshall of the Expos walks Randy Hundley with the bases loaded to tie the game and than walks Rick Monday for the Cubs victory. Fergie Jenkins pitched 8 solid innings and Bob Locker got the victory for pitching the ninth inning.

July 1, 1973
In game 2 of a doubleheader, Randy Hundley helps the Cubs avoid a Mets sweep over the Cubs (Jerry Koosman gets the win over Fergie Jenkins and the Cubs in game 1).   Cubs score 3 runs in the first inning, but the Mets take a 5-3 lead into the ninth inning. Hundley (who didn't start the game) gets his 2nd hit of the game, a 2-out, walk-off 3-run home run to help the Cubs split this doubleheader.
