Dexter Fowler was a key addition to the 2015 Cubs team that made it to the NLCS. He solidified both center field and the leadoff spot for the 2015 Cubs. He became the first Cubs player to score over 100 runs (102) since Mark DeRosa scored 103 runs in 2008. Fowler hit a career high 17 home runs for the 2015 Cubs and stole 20 bases. Fowler began the season strong against his former team, the Colorado Rockies and finished strong as well with a big game in the Wild Card playoff game that was a must win victory to advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Fowler tripled twice in the first 2 innings of the game. Leading off the game with a triple, scoring the first run of the game and than drove in 2 runs with a triple in the 2nd inning giving the Cubs a 3-0 lead in a 9-5 victory over the first team Fowler played for, the Colorado Rockies. The game was in Colorado.

With 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Cubs were trailing 5-4 with Rockies closer (and former Cub), Latroy Hawkins on the mound. Fowler hit a 2-run home run to give the Cubs a lead in a 6-5 victory over the Rockies.

October 7, 2015
A dramatic one game playoff between the Pirates and the Cubs. Dexter Fowler, along with teammates, Kyle Schwarber and Jake Arrieta came up very big in a big game for the young 2015 Cubs team. Fowler led off the game with a single, stole second base and scored the games first run on Schwarber's single. In the 3rd inning, Fowler got his 2nd single of the game and scored the 2nd run of the game when Schwarber hit a 2-run home run to give the Cubs a 3-0 lead. In the fifth inning, Fowler hit a home run for his 3rd hit, 3 run and 1st RBI of the game. Jake Arrieta went the distance to shut out the Pirates 4-0 and the Cubs were on their way to face the St. Louis Cardinals in an exciting NLDS match up.
