Cubs manage just 5 hits in 13 innings, but defeat Cardinals 3-2 on Solly Drakes walk-off RBI single at Wrigley Field.  In relief, Warren Hacker pitches 5 scoreless innings & JIm Brosnan's 3 scoreless innings earns him the win. 



September 26, 1938
Bill Lee's streak of 4 consecutive complete game shutouts streak ends, but he still pitches a CG and #Cubs win 6-3.

September 26, 1956

At Jerry Parc in Montreal, Cubs defeat the Expos 6-0 as Milt Pappas pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout. 

September 26, 1989  
Greg Maddux gets his 19th win of the season & when Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams strikes out Mike Fitzgerald, the Cubs clinch a playoff spot with a 3-2 victory over the Expos at Olympic Stadium in Montreal.  Video on the site currently
