September 15, 1975 Game 1
Pirates score 3 runs in top of 9th to take a 5-4 lead over the Cubs, but Cubs rally to score 2 in the ninth to win it on Jerry Morales RBI double and Jose Cardenal's walk-off RBI double.

September 15, 1968
At Connie Mack Stadium, Fergie Jenkins scatters 8 Phillies in a complete game 4-0 shutout. 

September 15, 1971
Burt Hooton gets his first career MLB victory with a complete game against the Mets.  Hooton strikes out 15 Mets batters and walks just 2, giving up 2 runs in a 3-2 Cubs victory in New York.

September 15, 1973
At Shae Stadium, Rick Reuschel scatters 10 Mets hits as the Cubs defeat the Mets 7-0. 

September 15, 1975 Game 1

At Jerry Parc, Ray Burris pitches a 5-hit complete game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Expos 2-0. 

September 15, 1983
At Three Rivers Stadium, Ron Cey homers twice in an 8-4 Cubs loss to the Pirates. 

September 15, 1990
At Busch Stadium, Ryne Sandberg homers twice in a 6-2 Cubs win over the Cardinals. 

September 15, 1991
At Wrigley Field, Chico Walker hits 2 home runs (one to leadoff the game for the Cubs) in a 6-5 Cubs loss to the Expos in 10 innings on a walk-off walk. 

September 15, 2004
At Wrigley Field, Cubs hit 5 home runs, 2 by Sammy Sosa (one a grand slam) and 1 each by Derrek Lee, Neifi Perez & Michael Barrett in a 13-5 Cubs win over the Pirates. 

September 15, 2014 
Travis Wood & 3 Cubs relief pitchers shut out the Reds through 9 innings on 3 hits and Anthony Rizzo wins it with a walk-off home run in the 9th inning.  Cubs defeat the Reds 1-0 at Wrigley Field. 

September 15, 2015
Cubs avoid a doubleheader sweep by the Pirates in the 2nd game as Jon Lester pitches a complete game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Pirates 2-1.  

September 15, 2018
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Reds 1-0.  Willson Contreras drives in the only run with a 6th inning RBI single.  Jon Lester and 4 Cubs relievers combine on a 4-hit shutout.  

September 15, 2019
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Pirates 16-6.  Kris Bryant goes 3 for 5 with 2 home runs & 4 RBI.  Kyle Schwarber homers and goes 3 for 5 with 3 runs & 3 RBI.  Jonathan Lucroy & Ian Happ homer for Cubs & Nicholas Castellanos goes 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored.  Cubs sweep the Pirates in a 3 game series where they score 47 runs. 

The flip side of this is that the Cubs will win one more game after this game, but than go on a 9 game losing streak to end any playoff chances the team had in 2019.  2019 ends the Cubs playoff streak of 4 consecutive years (2015-2018).  

September 15, 2020

The Cubs return home to Wrigley Field to face the Indians and Carlos Carrasco with Yu Darvish pitching.  Javier Baez hits a home run and scores from first base on a stolen base attempt.  Francisco Lindor ties the game in the top of the ninth off Jeremy Jeffords, but the Cubs come back and win it when Cameron Maybin is hit with a pitch with the bases loaded.
