May 30, 1904
Tell Frank Chance that baseball isn't a contact sport as he gets hit by a pitch 5 times in a doubleheader.  Cubs win the first game 7-2, but lose the 2nd 5-2.

May 30, 1906
Jack Pfeister K's 17 batters in 15 innings.  Pfeister's season helps the Cubs to the 1906 World Series.  His record was 20-8 with a 1.51 ERA and 153 strikeouts.

May 30, 1907
Cubs sweep Pirates in a DH, 7-1, 6-4 to take a lead in the pennant chase that they will not relinquish on to NL pennant  

May 30, 1945
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the New York Giants 11-2 as Andy Pafko goes 2 for 3 with a double, home run and 3 RBI. 

May 30, 1952
Cubs blow a 6-3 lead to the Reds in 8th and 9th inning, but Hank Sauer's single drives in Bob Addis in the bottom of the 9th to give the Cubs a 7-6 walk-off victory in game 1 of a doubleheader.
May 30, 1958, GM1
In the first game, Moryn's 9th inning double in game 1 ties the game and he scores the winning run on Sammy Taylors walk-off RBI single. 

May 30, 1958, GM2
Lots of home runs at Wrigley Field as Gil Hodges & Don Zimmer homer for the Dodgers. For the Cubs, in the 4th inning with the Dodgers leading 7-1, Ernie Banks and "Moose Moryn" hit back to back home runs to cut lead to 7-3. In the 7th inning, the Cubs go back to back again when Moose Moryn hits his 2nd home run of the game and Chuck Tanner follows with another to tie the game 8-8.   

In the bottom of the ninth, Sandy Koufax comes into the game in relief and after Ernie Banks singles, Moose Moryn ends an amazing game with a 2-run, walk-off home run for a 10-8 Cubs victory.

In game 1 of this doubleheader, the Cubs also had a walk-off victory.  the Cubs trailed in bottom of 9th inning 2-0.  Moryn doubled home Ernie Banks with the tying run and scored the winning run on a hit by Sammy Taylor.

May 30, 1969
Cubs defeat the Braves 2-0 at Wrigley Field.  Bill Hands pitches a complete game 5-hit shutout. 

May 30, 1984
For the 2nd time in a week, Bob Dernier gets 5 hits in a game against the Braves.  Dernier scores 3 runs, steals 2 bases and drives in a run as Cubs defeat the Braves 6-2 in Atlanta.

May 30, 1994 
Willie Banks gives up just one hit over 8 innings and Randy Myers pitches a perfect ninth inning to complete a 3-0 Cubs shutout over the Phillies at Wrigley Field.

May 30, 2004 
Cubs send 11 batters to the plate in a seven run 9th inning as the Cubs defeat the Pirates 12-1 at PNC Park.  Derrek Lee goes 3 for 6 with a single, double, triple & 4 RBI. 

May 30, 2008
Cubs & Rockies combine for 7 home runs as the Rockies take an early 8-0 lead over the Cubs, but the Cubs score 3 runs in the sixth and 6 runs in the seventh to come back and get a 10-9 win.  Mark DeRosa's 2-run homer gives the Cubs a 10-9 lead in the 7th.  Jim Edmonds goes 3 for 4 with a double, home run and 3 RBI. 

May 30, 2009 
Ryan Dempster, Angel Guzman & Aaron Heileman combine on a 5-hit shutout as the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 7-0. Reed Johnson goes 3 for 3 with a walk, a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Mike Fontenot doubles,
triples, walks, scores 1 run and drives in 2 runs. 

May 30, 2012
Starlin Castro ties game in 8th with RBI single.  Darwin Barney wins game with walk-off 2-run HR in the 9th.  Cubs defeat the Padres 8-6 at Wrigley Field.

May 30, 2016 
Jason Hammel leaves the game after pitching just 2 innings, but the Cubs bullpen throws 7 perfect innings (no hits or walks) as the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 2-0 in a 1-hit shutout.  Cubs pitchers retire the final 25 Dodger batters of the game.
