20 year old, Cubs Pitcher, Dick Drott strikes out 15 Milwaukee Braves (Drott strikes out Braves
HOF, Hank Aaron 3 times and Eddie Matthews once).  He pitches a complete game at Wrigley Field and gets the win as Cubs defeat Braves 7-5. 

Drott will win 15 games for the Cubs, but it is his best season with the team.  He leaves the team when he is selected as the 7th pick in the expansion draft by the Houston Colt 45's in 1961.

Jim Frey

Jim Frey was the manager for the 1980 Kansas City Royals team that lost the World Series to the Philadelphia Phillies managed by Dallas Green.  Fast forward to 1984 and Green hires Jim Frey to manage the 1984 Cubs.  Frey takes the Cubs to the NLCS and just one victory away from a World Series appearance. 

After being fired as Cubs manager, Frey announces Cubs games for WGN radio for a year before replacing Dallas Green as the Cubs General Manager prior to the 1988 season.  As GM, he does help the Cubs get to the playoffs in 1989.  His final year as Cubs GM was 1991.

Cubs defeat the Braves 6-0 at Wrigley Field.  Ray Burris pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout.

At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Expos 1-0.  Mike Krukow pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout.  Bobby Murcer drives in the only run of the game with a bases loaded walk.
 
May 26, 1978
At Busch Stadium, the Cubs defeat the Cardinals 6-0.  Dave Roberts pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout. 

May 26, 1985
Cubs come back from an 8-6 deficit to the Astros to score 4 runs in the 7th inning.  Ron Cey's 2-run home run gives the Cubs a 10-8 victory.  For the day, Cey goes 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 2 home runs & 3 RBI.
