At the Polo Grounds, the Cubs demolish the New York Giants 19-3.  Andy Pafko collects 3 hits, scores 3 runs and drives in 3 runs. 

May 18, 1950
Rube Walker of the Cubs hits a 6th inning Grand Slam and in the bottom of the inning, Monte Irvin (who later played for the Cubs) hit a Grand Slam as well.  The Giants defeat Cubs 10-4 in a rain shortened, 6 inning game. 

May 18, 1962
At Connie Mack Stadium, the Cubs come back and tie the Phillies 8-8 in the 8th inning on Bob Will's home run.  Cubs score 3 in 9th on Ron Santo's bases loaded walk and Jim Mcknight's 2-run single.   For the day, George Altman goes 3 for 5 with a walk, 2 home runs, 3 runs scored & 5 RBI.

At Wrigley Field, Enos Cabell's 9th inning solo home run gives Astros a 6-5 lead, but Leon Durham ties game with an RBI double and than scores winning run on a bases loaded walk to Gary Woods for a 7-6 Cubs victory.

Ryne Sandberg's ML record errorless streak at second base ends at 123 games with an error in a 7-0 win in Houston over Astros.

At Wrigley Field, Sammy Sosa's 2nd home run of the day in the 7th inning breaks a 3-3 tie as the Cubs defeat the Giants 5-3.

May 18, 1999
The Marlins, Alex Fernandez & the Cubs, Terry Mulholland pitch great games for their teams as the game goes into extra innings with the score tied 1-1. Mark Grace hits a three-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give Cubs a 4-1 win at Pro Players Stadium.  Mulholland, Terry Adams,  Felix Heredia & Scott Sanders allow just 3 hits and a walk in 11 innings.
