Jake Arrieta and the Cubs lose to the Diamondbacks 3-2.  The loss ends Arrieta's consecutive win streak at 20.  Since 1913, only Carl Hubbell (24), Roy Face (22), and Roger Clemens (20) have matched this streak.

Heine Zimmerman steals home for the only run of the game as the Cubs defeat the Braves 1-0 in Boston.  Gene Packard pitches the shutout for the Cubs.

The Brooklyn Dodgers defeat the Cubs in the 1st game of a doubleheader.  In game 2, Phil Cavaretta drives in 3 of the Cubs 4 runs.  Stan Hack scores 3 of the Cubs 4 runs.  Hi Bithorn comes into the game in relief and pitches 3 scoreless and hitless innings, striking out 5 Dodgers.  Phil Cavaretta gets the walk-off double, scoring Stan Hack as the Cubs split this doubleheader

Ivan Dejesus hits a walk-off RBI single in the 9th inning as Cubs defeat the Astros 2-1 at Wrigley Field.

Sammy Sosa hits 3 HR's with 5 RBI as #Cubs defeat Phillies 9-6 at Wrigley Field.

Brant Brown hits a walk-off home run as #Cubs defeat White Sox 6-5 at Wrigley Field.

Cubs and Diamondbacks go into extra innings tied 1-1.  After the Dbacks score 2 in the top of the 10th, the Cubs come back and score 3 to win it 4-3.  Jeff Reed's 2-out, 2-run double scoring both Sammy Sosa & Eric Young is the walk-off winner for the Cubs.

Matt Stairs & Rondell White hit back to back home runs in a 4-run 6th inning and Julio Zuleta's pinch-hit grand slam in the 7th inning gives the Cubs a 12-6 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

inning as Cubs defeat Astros 8-0 at Minute Maid Park

At Miller Park, Alfonso Soriano, Bryan LaHair & Jeff Baker homer for the Cubs and Ryan Dempsterand 2 Cubs relivers combine on a 5-hit shutout as the Cubs defeat the Brewer 10-0.
