Andy Pafko hits a walk-off, 2-run home run with 2 outs in the 9th inning, breaking up a 0-0 tie between Dodgers and Cubs.  Bill Fleming shuts out the Dodgers on 3 hits.

June 30, 1920
At Weeghman Park, the Cubs defeat the Pirates 1-0 as Hippo Vaugn allows just one Pirates hit, a single to Possum Whitted. 

June 30, 1929
Cubs defeat the Cardinals 14-8, Rogers Hornsby goes 4 for 4 with a double, triple, 2 runs scored & 2 RBI.   

June 30, 1931
In Philadelphia, the Cubs defeat the Phillies 10-3.  Rogers Hornsby hits 2 home runs, one a grand slam and drives in 7 runs. 
 
June 30, 1944

At Wrigley Field, the Cubs trail 2-0 into the 9th inning as Moose Moryn doubles home Bobby Morgan and Ernie Banks ties it hitting into a double play scoring Chuck Tanner.  Banks wins it for the Cubs in the 11th with an RBI double driving in Bob Speake.    

June 30, 1964
At Wrigley Field, a great pitcher's duel between the Cubs, Larry Jackson and the Reds Joey Jay as the 2 pitchers allow just 3 hits in the entire game.  Jackson wins it with a one-hitter and Jay is the hard luck loser giving up the only run of the game when Jimmy Stewart singles home Dick Bertel in the 6th inning as Cubs win 1-0.  Pete Rose breaks up Jackson's no hitter with a single in the 7th inning. 
 
June 30, 1978
In game 1 of a doubleheader, Mike Krukow pitches a 3-hit complete game shutout in a 2-0 Cubs win.  Dave Kingman's first inning 2-run home run are the only runs scored in the game.

June 30, 1984
Bob Dernier goes 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base as the Cubs defeated the Dodgers 14-4. 
 
June 30, 1997
Dave Clark caps a Cubs 5-run rally with a 3-run, pinch-hit home run in the 8th inning to give the Cubs an 8-7 victory over the Royals in Kansas City.

June 30, 1998
Sammy Sosa sets a MLB record for HR's in a month with 20. The record had been held by Rudy York with 19 in August, 1937

Mark Bellhorn homers from both sides of the plate in a 9-2 victory over the White Sox in Comiskey park.

June 30, 2008
At San Francisco, the Cubs defeat the Giants 9-2.  Mark DeRosa goes 3 for 4 with a walk, 3 runs scored, 2 HR and 6 RBI. 
 
June 30, 2011
Trailing 1-0 into the 9th, Aramis Ramirez homers to send the game into extra innings.  Giants score in the 13th inning, but Darwin Barney ties the game 2-2 with an RBI single driving in Jeff Baker.  Geovany Soto wins it for the Cubs 5-2 with a walk-off 3-run home run driving in Barney and Starlin Castro.   

June 30, 2012
Rizzo hits his first home run with the Cubs in a 3-2 win over the Houston Astros  

June 30, 2014
Jake Arrieta won his 4th straight game and had a no hitter into the 8th inning with 2 outs before giving up a hit to Stephen Drew.  The Cubs got a 2-0 victory over the Red Sox at Fenway Park.  
 
June 30, 2015
At Citi Field, the Cubs defeat the Mets 1-0.  Matt Szczur drives in the only run of the game.  Kyle Hendricks and 3 Cubs relivers combine on a 3-hit shutout. 

June 30, 2018 
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Twins 14-9.  Cubs collect 20 hits and 7 walks in the game.  Jason Heyward has 4 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  Albert Almora goes 3 for 3 with
2 RBI.
