Ken Holtzman takes a perfect game into 7th inning, but loses game to Cards 3-1.

June 27, 1973 
In the 2nd game of a doubleheader, Ron Santo homers twice in a 5-4 Cubs loss to the Expos.  Before the "Sandberg Game", Santo performed similarly in this game.   The Cubs were trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th, his solo home run tied the game.  In the 13th inning, Santo's 2nd home run tied the game again at 4-4.   The game goes 18 innings and was completed the next day (6/28/1973).

Cubs score 3 runs in 7th inning for a 4-3 victory over Mets. Bruce Sutter gets 20th save.

At Great American Ballpark, the Cubs defeat the Reds 11-8.  Kris Bryant doubles twice and homers 3 times, scoring 4 runs and driving in 6 runs.
