The battle of the Dutch's, the Phillies Dutch Leonard & Dutch McCall of the Cubs both pitch 10 scoreless innings. In the top of the 11th, the Phillies Del Ennis gives Phillies a 1-0 lead, but Cubs score in the bottom of the 11th on a Rube Walker sacrifice fly.   Phil Cavaretta wins it with a walk-off RBI single in the 12th inning.  Cubs 2 Phillies 1.

Andre Dawson has a single, triple, 2 home runs and 7 RBI as the Cubs
defeat the Astros 13-2.

Cubs defeat Padres 3-2 in 13 innings. Andre Dawson ties game with 2-run
HR in 9th & Mark Grace's walk-off single in 13th wins it.    

June 2, 1998
With the 3rd overall pick in the first round of the ML draft, the Cubs select Corey Patterson.   Other future Cubs major leaguers selected in this draft were Will Ohman in the 8th round and Eric Hinske in the 17th round.

June 2, 1999
Cubs trail 5-1, but score 4 in the 8th & 9th innings to get the walk-off victory on Sammy Sosa's 3-run HR off Trevor Hoffman.  Cubs defeat Padres 9-8 at Wrigley Field.

The Tigers return to Wrigley Field for the first time since the 1945 World Series.  Scott Downs and 2 relievers shutout the Tigers for a 2-0 Cubs victory.  
June 2, 2001
Cubs defeat the Brewers 10-4 for their 12th consecutive win. The Cubs longest streak since 1936 when the Cubs win 15 in a row.
June 2, 2005
At Petco Park, Glendon Rusch pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout with 7 strikeouts as Cubs defeat the Padres 5-0.  Todd Walker homers and Rusch doubles to lead off 3rd inning and scores the first run of the game. 

June 2, 2016
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 7-2. Javier Baez homers and drives in 3 runs. 

June 2, 2018
At Citi Field, the Cubs & Mets go into the 15th inning tied 1-1 as the Cubs score 6 to defeat the Mets 7-1.  Luke Farrell earns the win pitching 5 scoreless relief innings and striking out 7 batters.

June 2, 2021

At Wrigley Field, on Lou Gehrigh Day, the Cubs defeat the Padres 6-1 to complete a 3-game sweep.  Adbert Alzolay pitches 5 innings and gives up just one run.  Javy Baez homers and drives in 2 runs.   Anthony Rizzo goes 3 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI.
