Wrigley Field hosts the 1947 All-Star game as the AL defeats the NL 2-1.

July 8, 1964
In the 1st game of a doubleheader, Cubs defeat the Giants 2-0 as Bob Buhl
pitches a 4-hit complete game shutout. 

July 8, 1987
Cubs score 8 runs in the 8th inning to come from behind and defeat the Padres 12-8 at Wrigley Field.   Jim Sundberg gets the big hit with a pinch-hit Grand Slam.

July 8, 1994
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs & Astros are tied 5-5 early.  Jim Bullinger and Jose Bautista combine for 6 scoreless relief innings and Mark Grace wins the game for the Cubs with a walk-off home run in the 11th inning.  Cubs defeat Astros 6-5 at Wrigley Field.
