July 16, 1967
At Candlestick Park in San Francisco, the Cubs sweep a doubleheader over the Giants.  In Game 1, Ernie Banks hits a 3-run home run, Adolfo Phillips hits a grand slam and Ray Culp pitches a 6-hit complete game shutout. 

In Game 2, Ernie Banks homers again and Ron Santo's 9th inning sacrifice fly gives the Cubs a 3-2 win.

July 16, 1952
Cubs defeat Boston Braves 3-2 at Wrigley Field in 13 innings.
Cubs trail into the 9th inning 2-1 when Bruce Edwards ties the game with a 2-out, RBI single off Warren Spahn. Dutch Leonard pitches 4 scoreless relief innings to allow the Cubs, Phil Cavaretta to win it for Cubs with a walk-off RBI single in the 13th inning.  Cubs defeat the Boston Braves 3-2 at Wrigley Field. 

July 16, 1958
Cubs get come from behind victories in both ends of a doubleheader against Reds.


GM1 Bobby Thomson drives in Lee Walls & Ernie Banks with a 2-run double
for a walk-off 5-4 victory in Game 1 of a doubleheader.
 
GM2 Cubs come back in Game 2 to win 7-5. This time the 3-run rally was in the 8th inning.
