August 26, 1922
Have you ever watched a blowout game and said "save some of those runs for tomorrow's game?"  The day after the highest scoring game in MLB history, Cubs and Phils are 0-0 for 10 inning until the Phillies score 3 runs in the 11th for a 3-0 win.  The two teams combined for 10 hits in 11 innings after combining for 49 runs in 9 innings the day before.  That is baseball!!!

Trailing 2-0 into 9th inning, Hank Sauer's 2-run double ties game and Dee Fondy wins it in 13th with walk-off RBI single. 

August 26, 1972
Joe Pepitone walk-off HBP in 10th inning gives Cubs a 10-9 walk-off victory over Giants.  Jose Cardenal has 4 hits, Billy Williams has 5 hits and 4 RBI, Ron Santo has 4 hits and 4 RBI.  Both Williams & Santo hit 2 home runs.

At Riverfront Stadium, Dave Kingman's 7th inning home run gives the Cubs a lead, after the Reds tie the game, Kingman hits another home run, a 2-run shot for a 4-2 Cubs win.

Leon Durham homers twice and Steve Dillard's 2-run home run in ninth is the walk-off as Cubs defeat Padres 9-7 at Wrigley Field.

At Wrigley Field, Leon Durham homers twice, Ron Cey homers and Steve Trout pitches a 8-hit complete game shutout as the Cubs defeat the Braves 5-0.

A nice comeback from the Cubs as Kris Bryant hits 2 important home runs for a 6-4 Cubs win at Dodger Stadium.

Maybe the Cubs should wear those jersey's with their nicknames on it more often.  Cubs hit 6 home runs, both Anthony Rizzo & Tommy LaStella both hit 2 as the Cubs defeat the Phillies 17-2.
