At Wrigley Field, Cubs make a nice comeback with the help of pinch hitter, Thad Bosley who hits a 3-run HR in 6th to tie the game and
another homer in the 8th a 2-run home run to give the Cubs an 8-7 win over the Expos.

August 12, 1934
Cubs go to St. Louis and defeat the Vance brothers. In game 1, Cubs win 7-2 against Paul Dean and defeat Dizzy Dean 6-4 for the sweep.  Billy Herman hits a home run & Babe Herman hits 2 home runs in game 1.

August 12, 1943
Hank Wyse is the hard luck Cubs losing pitcher as the Braves defeat the
Cubs 3-2 at Braves Field.  Wyse pitches 11 2/3 innings, giving up 11 hits
and 3 runs, but Braves pitcher, Al Javery was a little better giving up
just 2 runs

August 12, 1958
In Los Angeles, the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 9-3.  Lee Walls hits 2 home runs and drives in 3 runs. 

August 12, 1969
At San Diego Stadium, the Cubs defeat the Cubs 4-0 as Fergie Jenkins strikes out 10 and throws a 6-hit complete game shutout. 

August 12, 1975
At Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati the Reds defeat the Cubs 12-8.  Bill Madlock collects 4 singles in 5 at bats, scores 2 runs and drives in 1.

A big day for Shawon Dunston who has 3 hits and 6 RBI as Cubs defeat the Phillies 9-7 at Wrigley field.

Cubs get a walk-off for 2nd straight day.  Jerome Walton RBI single.   Les Lancaster 3 scoreless IP in relief to earn win.

August 12, 1993
At Joe Robbie Stadium, Cubs defeat the Marlins 5-1.  Dwight Smith leads off the game with a home run and hits a 2nd home run & Mike Harkey pitches a complete game to earn the win.

At Candlestick Park, the Cubs defeat the Giants 4-0.  Jaime Navarro strikes out 8 batters and pitches an 8-hit complete game shutout. 

August 12, 1998
At 3Com Park, the Cubs get two 5-run innings and 4 home runs, 2 by Henry Rodriguez, 1 each by Scott Servais & Jeff Blauser as the Cubs coast to a 10-2 victory over the Giants. 

August 12, 2003
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Astros 3-0 as Carlos Zambrano strikes out 10 and pitches a 5-hit complete game shutout.

Darwin Barney makes his MLB debut in a 9-8 Cubs loss to the Giants in San Francisco.  

August 12, 2015

At Wrigley Field, the Brewers tie the Cubs 2-2 in the 9th inning, but Miguel Montero wins it for the Cubs 3-2 with a walk-off solo home run in the 10th inning. 

August 12, 2016
At Wrigley Field, the Cubs defeat the Cardinals 13-2. Jorge Soler goes 2 for 4 with a home run, a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.  It is the 11th straight win for the Cubs.  

August 12, 2018
Cubs trail 3-0 into the 9th inning when David Bote ends the game with a two-out, walk-off grand slam.
