March 31, 2003 Corey Patterson goes 4 for 4 with 2 singles and 2 home runs driving in a Cubs opening day record 7 RBI vs Mets 15-2 victory in Shae Stadium. Juan Cruz strikes out 6 consecutive batters.
April 4, 2005 The Cubs defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 16-6 led by Derrek Lee who was 4 for 6 with a home run, 2 double and drove in 5 runs on his way to a great season that saw him win his first batting title.
April 3, 2006 The Cubs score 16 runs for the 2nd consecutve opening day as they defeat the Cincinnatti Reds 16-7 in Cincinnatti, Matt Murton homers and Juan Pierre has a triple and 2 singles in his debut with the Chicago Cubs. President George W Bush throws out the first pitch.
March 31, 2008 Kosuke Fukudome's debut with the Chicago Cubs was quite a day as he goes 3 for 3, doubles on the first pitch he see's in the major leagues and hits a 3-run home run off Brewers closer, Eric Gagne to tie the game in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Cubs do lose the game in 10 innings, 4-3.

April 6, 2009 On the second pitch of the Cubs season, Alfonso Soriano homers off Roy Oswalt. Aramis Ramirez also homers as the Cubs defeat the Houston Astros 4-2 in Houston.
