November 9, 2004 WGN announces the hiring of Bob Brenly to announce Cubs games for the 2005 season.

A great major league catcher, a World Series winning manager and a great Cubs announcer. Bob Brenly had a great run as Cubs announcer, teaming with Len Kasper for 7 years on WGN TV. Brenly took his years as a tough catcher and manager into the booth with him as he was a very outspoken about the Cubs and their poor play or players not playing the game the "right way", not hustling or just conducting themselves as professional major league players.

Who is the Best Cubs Announcer Ever?
