August 21, 1935
Cubs & Phillies score 49 runs in a doubleheader (13-12 Phillies win in game 1 and 19-5 Cubs win in game 2).  Chuck Klein scored 8 runs on the day.  Frank Demaree had 8 hits and Phil Cavaretta had 7 hits on the day.

Bill Lee wins his 15th consecutive game, a team record at the time.

Cubs overcome an early 6-0 Giants lead to win 8-6 in the 1st game of a doubleheader, Hank Sauer hits two 3-run home runs.

Ernie Banks drives in all Cubs runs with 2 home runs and a double in a 5-3 win over the Pirates at Wrigley Field.

Billy Williams drives in 9 runs in a doubleheader sweep of the Braves in Wrigley Field.

In 1st game of a doubleheader, the Cubs score 3 in 7th to come back and defeat the Braves 5-4.  Ernie Banks hits 2 home runs. Cubs take 2nd game 13-4, Billy Williams drives in 7 runs in game 2 and has 9 RBI for the doubleheader.

Ron Santo 2,000 career hit off Rob Bryant in 10-9 win over Gianst in Wrigley.

Rick & Paul Reuschel shuts out the Dodgers 6-0. It is the first shutout by brothers in MLB history.

At Atlanta Fulton County Stadim, Ryne Sandberg homers twice and drives in 6 runs as the Cubs defeat the Braves 9-5.

At Wrigley Field, Andre Dawson homers twice, Bob Dernier & Jody Davis also homer as the Cubs defeat the Astros 7-5.
