Jim Maloney no-hits the Cubs 1-0.

Trailing 4-0 into the 8th inning, Billy Williams hits a 3-run home run in the 8th and Don Landrum's 2-run walk-off home run in the 9th wins it for the Cubs.

August 19, 1966
Cubs defeat the Pirates 4-3 in 11 innings on Glenn Beckert's walk-off RBI
single.  Bob Hendley pitches 3 scoreless relief innings, giving up just one hit with 5 strikeouts to earn the victory. 

August 19, 1969
Ken Holtzman pitches his first no-hitter in his career.  It is the Cubs 9th no-hitter in team history (the 8th was Don Cardwell's no-hitter in 1960).  Holtzman will pitch a 2nd no-hitter for the Cubs in 1971.  Only 3 Cubs have pitched multiple no-hitters for the team (Larry Corcoran had 3 in the 1880's, Holtzan & Jake Arrieta (2015 & 2016). 

Ron Santo gave the Cubs a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning for the only scoring of the game.  Holtzman's no-hitter is the Holtzman did not strike out a batter in the game and walked 3 batters.
