Braves pitcher, Charlie PUleo hits a home run against Rick Sutcliffe,
however Sutcliffe pitches well, giving up only that run through 8 innings.  Lee Smith blows the save in the ninth, but pitches a scoreless 10th inning.  The Cubs win it 3-2 in the 12th inning when Andre Dawson drives
in Bob Dernier with a walk-off RBI single.

June 2, 1987
Andre Dawson has a single, triple, 2 home runs and 7 RBI as the Cubs
defeat the Astros 13-2.

July 6, 1987
Andre Dawson goes 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 4 RBI & 2 home runs to support Steve Trout as the Cubs defeat the Padres 7-0 at Wrigley Field.

May 8, 1990, 11 innings.  
A crazy back and forth game.  The Cubs score 5 runs in the first inning, but blow that lead as the Braves score at least one run in every inning from the 4th inning to the 9th inning.  The Braves take a 8-7 lead into 9th inning, but Andre Dawson sends the game into extra innings with a 9th inning solo home run. Dawson goes deep for the 2nd time in the 11th inning, a 2-run shot, for the walk-off winner. 

May 15, 1990
At Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta, the Cubs defeat the Braves 12-2.  Andre Dawson hits 2 home runs, goes 3 for 4 with 4 runs scored & 4 RBI.

Cubs 4 Cardinals 3 in 15 innings.  0-0 after 9 innings.
Jose Deleon of Cardinals and Mike Harkey of Cubs have a pitcher's
duel as the Cubs and Cardinals go into 10th inning with a 0-0 tie.

Mike Harkey gave up 8 hits and 7 walks in 9 innings.

Cardinals score 2 in 10th inning and Cubs score 2 in bottom of 10th
off former Cubs pitcher, Lee Smith.

Cardinals score in 13th inning, but Cubs score in bottom of the 13th

Andre Dawson's bases loaded single gives the Cubs a 4-3 walk-off

Steve Wilson pitched 4 relief innings and gave up just one run.

September 22, 1990
Andre Dawson joins Willie Mays as the only MLB players with 300 home runs, 300 stolen bases & 2,000 hits.  Dawson steals his 300th base in an 11-5 loss to the Mets. 


 April 21, 1991
The Cubs were leading the Pirates 3-2 going into the 8th inning when this
game got out of hand. Both teams scored 4 runs in the 8th inning and the
Pirates tied the game at 7-7 in the bottom of the ninth inning on a double
by Gary Varsho.

It looked as though the Cubs had the victory when Doug Dascenzo gave the Cubs an 8-7 lead with a single and Andre Dawson followed with a Grand Slam to give the Cubs a 12-7 lead, but the Pirates came back and scored six runs in the bottom of the 11th to defeat the Cubs 13-12.

August 23, 1991

the comeback with a walkoff RBI double.

A come from behind victory for the Cubs over the Pirates.  After leading 3-1 going into 7th inning, Andre Dawson homers and Mark Grace's 8th inning, RBI single ties the game at 8.  Grace scores the winning run in the 10th inning on a Joe Girardi walk-off single.  Cubs defeat the Pirates 3-2 at Wrigley Field.
